A bit about me and how Padded Paws got started

Hi, I’m Danny Villanueva, proud Founder of Padded Paws! I was born and raised in Texas. I’ve called Austin home since 1989 and relocated to San Antonio in March of 2020 to be closer to family.

I’ve always loved being around animals. Simple as that. As a youngster during summer vacations, I’d usually help my grandparents care for stray dogs and cats around the house. And after years of thinking about pursuing my true passion of working with animals, I decided to quit my retail management job of 12 years and enroll in Starmark Academy for Professional Dog Trainers. There I became a Certified Dog Trainer and Behavior Specialist and have been living my passion ever since!

I started Padded Paws because nothing rewards me more than helping dog owners and families strengthen their bonds with man’s best friend. Without my connection to dogs, I certainly wouldn’t be as fulfilled as I am today. It’s my mission to help pass along this sense of connection to you and your dog as well.

I live with my two dogs and one cat that thinks she’s a dog; a Pug named Nucky, a Rat Terrier Chihuahua mix named Jack, and a stray cat named Luna. I love working with adopted rescue dogs, helping them build their trust and respect so that they can enjoy their new homes.
